Writer's Block: Signature Style

As the great socio-political philosopher/rapper Vanilla Ice said "My style is like a chemical spill."
I generally term it "Business Punk", since I pair sensible skirts/tops with multicolored fishnets, plus whatever else I can conjure up at that moment. The shoe varies by event.
I generally stick with one or two colors, with a neutral as a buffer. I generally don't wear white, though...it makes me look huge unless its damn well fitted.
Oddly enough, I get most of my style tips from GQ...I get my makeup tips and occasional trend heads up from Glamour, not style tips.
Men: Yves Saint-Laurent, Hubert de Givenchy, David Bowie
Women: Jackie O, Joan Jett, Iman, Robots in Disguise
As for updating my wardrobe, I go shopping at those second hand-type stores. It's been a long time since I bought a piece of clothing that wasn't on sale.
The trick is buying something that goes with a lot of your other stuff.
